What are the types of towing?
Vehicles break down in different places: in the parking lot, on the road or in the garage. Most often then we need the services of a tow company to deliver the car to the garage. There are many types of vehicles designed for towing. Each of these vehicles is used for different towing purposes and offers a specific set of benefits. The basic types of towing vehicles are:

- Hook and Chain Tow Truck
Integrated Tow Truck
Integrated tow trucks are used in harsh environments and are used to transport other platforms or buses. Their design is much more complicated. It requires additional stabilization which is ensured by additional axles and an arm embedded in the core of the platform itself.
Flatbed Tow Truck
Platform tow trucks are one of the most popular and most used tow vehicles in the world. They are also one of the safest ways to tow vehicles. The flatbed truck has a long empty bed with a flat top. The hydraulic system is used to move the platform up and down. By car, you can enter the ramp when it is functional or pull it on board with the winch. They are also helpful in transporting vehicles that were involved in the accident. Cars and boats can be transported in this type of carriage.
Wheel-Lift Tow Truck
Wheeled tow trucks use a metal yoke to hook the towed car. The metal yoke catches under the rear or front wheels. A pneumatic jack or hydraulic jack suspends the rear or front of the vehicle to lift it off the ground and pull it away. Vehicles with front-wheel drive are pulled by road wheels. Wheeled tow trucks are not as safe as platform tow trucks, but they are relatively inexpensive.
Hook and Chain Tow Truck
Towing and chain hooks are used for towing all types of loads. These trucks have been widely used in the past, but now, knowing that this method is putting a lot of pressure on towed vehicles, this is no longer common. A wrapped chain can damage or scratch the vehicle, so it is recommended to use this option only when transporting a broken car to a junkyard. In addition, towbars and chain tractors must not be used with a 4X4 drive as this may damage the propulsion system. Currently, tow and chain hooks are used mainly in junk cars and crashed cars, because when transporting these vehicles, additional damage does not matter.
